ESR1: Benedetta Petracca

Benedetta holds a master degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and gained a strong expertise in tissue engineering during her master thesis performed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is currently working in the Personal Care Division of Dow Silicones Belgium in Belgium and is enrolled at the Faculty of Science of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland for her doctoral degree. Her research work aims at understanding the effects of ozone on both the cutaneous responses and biomechanical properties of healthy and compromised skin models.

ESR2: Roxanne Prieux

Roxane holds a master degree in Chemistry and Formulation Science from the University of Lille 1 and had the opportunity to travel around the World with work placements in Wales, Pennsylvania and Shanghai. She is currently based at the Department of Life Science and Biotechnologies of the University of Ferrara in Italy where she is also enrolled for her doctoral degree. Her research work aims at understanding the effects of cigarette smoke on both the cutaneous responses and biomechanical properties of healthy and compromised skin models.

ESR3: Irini Dijkhoff

Irini holds a master degree in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University. During her internship at Galapagos she validated a novel target in inflammatory bowel disease using adenoviral transduction and compound treatments in human epithelial cells. She is currently based at the Adolphe Merkle Institute and enrolled at the Faculty of Science of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland for her doctoral degree. Her research work aims at understanding the effects of diesel/gasoline exhaust on both the cutaneous responses and biomechanical properties of healthy and compromised skin models.
